Do NOT wash with white clothes

Item came slightly dirty and smelt of damp. So, I put it in the wash but it made all of my white clothes a light grey/slightly blue colour.
I would recommend to wash it on its own or even hand wash.
Also it came in a clear plastic bag which I think isn’t necessary and bad for the environment
