Designed for extreme cold weather with an inflatable wrist seal that seals out the cold and wind and makes these probably one of the warmest gloves made. The outer material is water-resistant with down filling inside, which traps air and keeps out the cold.
Not really suitable where dexterity is required, as they are bulky and big, but for being outside in freezing conditions, these are a gift.
Issued to arctic forces circa '70s/'80s. Would cost a small fortune to make these today.
New but stored for many years, still perfectly serviceable.
They are one size only (approx med/large).
Measurement across the width of the palm and the width of the wrist is approximately 13.5cm (exterior measurement).
The total length of the whole glove from the bottom of the cuff to the tip is 34cm. From the wrist seam to the tip is 23cm.
