British WWII 1940 leather jerkin remake, now in a black 'tanker' version. Otherwise identical to the brown version.

The cowhide leather is heavy-duty but supple, the quality of manufacture is second to none. The lining is a robust polycotton. The label is white cotton as per the original. A truly superb remake that collectors and enthusiasts alike will appreciate.

Variable quality

The leather on the jacket is good. However, the buttons fell off the second time I wore it. Fedback to Silvermans but, after 3 days, I heard nothing back. Overall, I’ve kept the jerkin as I can add new buttons etc which I did at extra cost to myself.

Ooorah!

This is an outstanding Jerkin! I've had my eye on this for awhile and finally pulled the pin and got one. This is a very well made article of clothing. I have received many compliments on it.

These Jerkins should fly off the shelves

I had made a Jerkin from an old coat. It has served me well despite the fact that it has thinner leather.
This Jerkin I bought from Silverman's is better quality than I expected. Rachel helped me with the sizing and she was spot on. In the shop dust sweeps off of it, so do metal chips from the mill, lathe and files. I am working on putting Pleated leather patch pockets on it. When that happens I'll be wearing it at least 8 hours a day, every day. Jerkins are every bit as practical today as they were in my Dad's and Grandfather's day.
