Genuine issue Alpha Industries. A mid-weight nylon jacket with water-resistance and versatility, the MA-1 fighter pilot jacket was the first military flight jacket to become a civilian fashion icon.

Includes knitted cuffs, collar and waistband, as well as a strong front zipper with storm flap for warmth. There are multiple snap-closure pockets as well as the utility/pencil pocket with the "Remove Before Flight" keychain. The MA-1 jacket is reversible to bright orange, making it ideal for rescue missions and other times when visibility is imperative.

Orange lining. Polyester batting lined for warmth without bulk. Two outer pockets, two inner pockets, one combination cigarette/pencil arm pocket. Original loose fit style.

Alpha MA1 flying jacket

Hi thanks for your email.I have been buying from yourselves since the 90s, usually visiting the shop.
However I now live in Tenerife in the canaries.I have been wanting a new MA 1 for a long time.I had to visit UK last week for a family funeral,so I thought perfect opportunity to order a new jacket.The jacket arrived on time well packaged.However the jacket has strong aroma of musk very similar to items that are stored in containers with no ventilation.(I know this because I have containers used for storage.)The jacket itself is of the quality I expect from Alpha industries and yourselves, but unfortunately due to the family funeral I have had no time to contact you about it. Coincidentally my wife commented on the smell when I arrived home and said I should contact you,and ironically I open my emails and receive your email.regards Chris Hamilton.
